What's your new excuse?

My uncle graduating high school in 1936. A time period where all students had to walk 14 miles round trip to school and back and pack a lunch. The walk to the University of Pan America was 56 miles back and forth. Greyhound buses were not kind to Mexican - Americans at that time. But the need was greater than the sacrifice. My uncle went on to be a school teacher and administrator and walked regardless of the weather. What is your excuse now for not changing how you think, how you speak, how you live your life, how you serve and the money you earn?
